The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering is unleashing the transformative power of AI to facilitate groundbreaking collaborations and discoveries. We imagine a world where experts from diverse fields are seamlessly brought together to tackle some of the world’s most challenging problems. Leveraging the vast pool of talent and knowledge at Auburn, we can connect researchers in ways that accelerate innovation, amplify impact, and open new doors to solving complex, multidimensional issues.

AI is already revolutionizing many aspects of our lives, accelerating processes and finding new relationships. Think about identifying the complementary skills of a computer scientist and a biologist or pairing an engineer with a social scientist to design smarter, more sustainable solutions. Using AI to build connections, the speed and scale of collaboration can reach new heights. We are expanding AI’s potential by unlocking the true power of collaboration.

The AUSME team is actively building the tools that can turn this vision into reality. By systematically collecting and analyzing data on active researchers and their works, including scientific papers, graduate theses, and collaborative projects, we are creating a comprehensive map of expertise across Auburn University. This map will serve as the foundation for AI models that will identify potential collaborators to address a given challenge - driving innovation that emerges when diverse perspectives converge. Whether it’s advancing healthcare, optimizing energy systems, or improving how we approach global sustainability, the possibilities are endless.

At AUSME, we are creating more than just a system—we are building a dynamic ecosystem where students, researchers, and experts from all disciplines can come together to solve real-world problems.
